The highly competitive and hard-working Akins Eagle Marching Band is the pride of the Akins High School Band program. Between the musicians and auxiliary (color guard), the Eagle Marching Band is comprised of approximately 150 members in all four grades. The band marches at halftime of all football games, and performs for various events and activities in the Fall for Semester for Akins High School and Austin ISD. In addition, the AEB Band participates in multiple marching festivals state-wide each fall, and will compete in larger contests such as the Bands of America marching band Super Regional and Regional events. Membership in the AEB Marching Band is required for all Akins High School band members.

Marching Band Rehearsal Weekly Schedule The weekly rehearsal schedule changes from week to week based on when Football games occur, holidays, and contests.
The best way to know what the schedule looks like is to use the band calendar or subscribe to the calendar. All marching band events are listed under the "AEB Main" calendar. You can select different calendars using the drop down in the upper right hand corner.
You can view the calendar here. Scroll through to August of 2019...that is where the information for the Fall of 2019 begins. Unfortunately, it is not possible to give a static calendar that never changes...but all dates and times are updated in real time.
All performances are required of all members of AEB. There are no excused absences from performances except: severe illness or death in the family.
