Tristen Pride is originally from Georgetown, Tx, where he marched with the Georgetown High School Eagle Band. He was also the leader of one of three saxophone quartets nationally to advance to the finals of the 2021 Coltman Chamber Music Competition, as well as medalling gold at the UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest consistently. He currently attends Texas State University where he studies manufacturing engineering and music. Tristen also co-founded Crimson Rangers Drum and Bugle Corps as an assistant program director and show designer. One of his favorite quotes is “That’s what getting better is. Getting better is screwing up less” by Adam Savage. A fun fact about Tristen is that he has pet frogs and snails! He plans to continue leadership and music education through drum corps and marching band, and he can’t wait to continue to work with the Akins Eagle Band!
